Welcome to the 2014 Berliner Klavierfestival.

Individuality, virtuosity, creativity, rich sounds, multifaceted interpretations, a desire to Experiment — so would one characterise the very different pianists at the 3rd Berliner Klaiverfestival, whether internationally renowned or just at the beginning of their career. Come and experience some of the most interesting pianists close up!

From the 16th to the 25th May 2014, we are looking forward to the acclaimed Rachmaninov interpreter Nikolai Lugansky; our insider-tip, Francesco Piemontesi; Freddy Kempf, who treated the audience at the at 1st Berliner Klavierfestival with his experimentatal furore; the Canadian Angela Hewitt, known as an absolute Bach expert; and finally the "Grande Dame" of the Russian piano school, Elisso Virsaladze, who, as in 2012, will again enchant the audience with her Schumann.
